River Jump EXTREME

This is a jump me and my mates spotted while mountain biking in Astley Park Chorley. It lies at the bottom of a big descent and measures 7ft. After much deliberation the first time we saw the jump, wether it was possible or not, would today be the day.

We cycled upto the location full of confidence forgetting how big the jump actually is. The main problem being its quite deceptive. When you stand on one side it seems really easy... then you jump across to the side where your gona land and realise its quite a big jump. I measured 7ft for a good landing. Any shorter and your front wheel is gona hit the slope and throw you off over the handlebars.

I built a ramp on the main side to get more height and length on the jump, but the landing still concerned us. So much so that today would not be the day.

Who knows maybe in the future, when im a bit madder!!!

Who needs a bridge

Sunday a day of rest, not for us crazed loonies. We decided to go Astley Park in the centre of Chorley for some casual downhilling. After tackling the first few we came across a river (stream) which had a wall holding it in and a big downhill backing onto it. If we timed this correctly we could fly down the hill and jump across to the other side.

Sweeney went round to investigate further, and before me and finnan new it he was flying down the hill and jumped across with ease. This now meant we had to do it, as anything done by one the others have to follow suit.

This led onto jumping off walls a couple of feet high and leaping of flights of steps.

Coming soon river jump extreme.
